Personal Information Protection Officer
BackThis is a job description for the position of Privacy Officer.
The key elements of the job are:
- reviewing the co-op’s policies and practices for dealing with personal information
- making recommendations to help the co-op
- following PIPA to provide information to members and the public about how the co-op protects personal information
- handling complaints as outlined in the personal information complaint procedure.
- reporting to the general members at the Annual General Meeting with periodic reports to the board as needed.
- The policy also sets a serving time limit of two (2) years which may be renewed every two (2) years by ordinary resolution at the Annual General Meeting.
