Rules: Occupancy Agreement
The Occupancy Agreement is a schedule to the co-op’s Rules.
It captures many of the details of the relationship between the member and the co-operative such as
- the right to possession
- housing charges (how they are set, when and how they are to be paid)
- the need to comply with the Rules and Policies of the co-op
- the good neighbour provision
- requirements around smoking, insurance, alterations, notices, and more.
Just as there is a set of Model Rules, we have a model Occupancy Agreement and a guide to the various options.
